Sarah BUTLER, lMsw
I am passionate about supporting people through complex changes and difficult chapters of their lives. My approach is strength-based, rooted in the understanding that you are the ultimate expert of your own experience. I work as your ally, empowering you to explore your life's circumstances, bring awareness to your interactions, and gain insight into your patterns. Together, we'll create space for meaningful reflection and the kind of growth that feels authentic to who you are. I received my Master of Social Work from Columbia University, where I primarily worked with individuals who experienced trauma and mood-related disorders. Prior to graduate school, I worked with children with neuro-developmental disorders, supporting their social and emotional development.
I specialize in working with young adults and individuals navigating the unique challenges of this transformative life stage — managing anxiety and depression, healing from complex trauma, building identity, and learning to navigate relationships and independence. Drawing on my experience supporting individuals through trauma and mood-related disorders, I help young adults develop the tools and self-awareness needed to move through uncertainty with greater clarity and confidence.
My style is collaborative, curious, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership — one where you're empowered to lead while I walk with you offering guidance, insight, and unwavering support.
